Job Summary:

The CWB Welder is a key member of our team responsible for fabricating materials, preparing for welding, and inspecting products to ensure they meet quality standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabrication of materials using wire, blocky, and TIG rod
  • Weld preparation, including grinding and arcing
  • Reading and interpreting drawings
  • Finishing work on components using a plasma cutter and grinder, and visually inspecting finished welds
  • Participation in Lean Events (Process Management, 6S, etc.)
  • Demonstrating a commitment to zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture

Requirements:

  • CWB certification required in flat and horizontal positions for GMAW
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral English
  • Attention to detail, ability to learn quickly, positive attitude, and punctuality
  • Ability to make independent decisions based on predetermined work flow instructions
  • Overhead crane, jib crane, and forklift training considered an asset
