We are seeking an experienced Transportation/Dispatch Manager to lead our team in the safe and efficient scheduling and dispatching of drivers. The successful candidate will have a strong background in logistics, supply chain management, and transportation operations.

About the Role:

  • Manage day-to-day operations within the Dispatch Delivery Driver Department
  • Oversee delivery schedule attainment and efficiency (routing)
  • Liaise regularly with clients, agency drivers, and unionized company drivers
  • Develop team capabilities through continuous on-the-job and formal training opportunities and coaching

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a large team or business area, including management of individuals indirectly through subordinate supervisors or managers
  2. Evaluate performance by providing formal and informal feedback to ensure all work is carried out efficiently and in accordance with set individual targets
  3. Responsible for all aspects of Human Resources functions for the team, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and disciplinary matters
  4. Develop team capabilities through continuous on-the-job and formal training opportunities and coaching
  5. Prepare, recommend, and manage a budget for the direct area of responsibility

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the transportation and food industry, with 2-5 years of experience in managing people and dispatch teams
  • Post-secondary diploma or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • Certificate in Supply Chain (Transportation Systems, Logistics Process, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety & quality

What We Offer:
