Food Service Aide Opportunity

The Village of Tansley Woods in Burlington, Ontario, is seeking a Food Service Aide to join their evening team. This role involves working approximately 28 hours bi-weekly from 15:45 to 19:15.

Responsibilities of a Food Service Aide

  • Hold a valid Food Handlers certification
  • Valid Smart Serve Certification
  • Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
  • Be able to lift up to 35lbs
  • Have exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team
  • Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents
  • Assist in serving meals and beverages to our residents ensuring we meet residents' diets and food preferences while following safe and sanitary food handling techniques
  • Food Service Team Members at Schlegel Villages assist with the preparation of catering functions and events, and maintaining a clean dining room and workspace
  • All applicants will be considered, subject to compliance with the Company's COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

Asset But Not Required

  • Have completed, enrolled in or willing to enroll in the Food Services Worker training program
