As a Welder at New Flyer, you will be responsible for operating welding machines and working with various weld fixtures while adhering to CWB welding procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate welding equipment to join metal parts according to blueprints and/or specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements.
  • Weld using various materials and welding techniques, including MIG and TIG.
  • Verify all materials and parts are fit and ready for welding.
  • Clean and maintain welding equipment and tools regularly.
  • Perform all job-related tasks in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Meet performance targets while ensuring quality and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Completion of vocational training in welding with the ability to pass CWB certifications.
  • Thorough knowledge of welding procedures and practices.
  • Physical dexterity, strength, and stamina to perform welding tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Attention to detail and quality assurance to ensure welding meets industry standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities.
