Patient Care Technician

DaVita is seeking a compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a PCT, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to our patients.
About the Role:
- Provide direct patient care, including preparing patients for dialysis, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications as prescribed.
- Work closely with registered nurses, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for our patients.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest dialysis techniques and best practices.
- Assist with patient education, including teaching patients and their families about dialysis, medication management, and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify and address any issues or concerns related to patient care.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Willingness to undergo ongoing education and training to stay current on dialysis techniques and best practices.
