Inovata Foods is a leading food manufacturing company that offers a unique blend of stability and family-like atmosphere. We partner with major retailers across North America and are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in Tillsonburg, Ontario.

This role reports directly to our Quality Assurance Manager and is responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our production, boxing, warehouse, and sanitation processes. You will be the daily monitor of our HACCP System, conducting internal quality audits and maintaining quality data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor production, boxing, warehouse, and sanitation processes to ensure compliance with our HACCP System.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and maintain quality data.
  • Participate in CFIA HACCP and SQF audits to ensure related documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Ensure calibration of departmental equipment, such as thermometers and scales, is performed daily.
  • Train company personnel in GMPs, HACCP, and SQF Quality and Food Safety Programs.
  • Maintain and perform the Company's environmental swabbing program.
  • Assist the Quality Specialist with microbiological sampling of finished products, raw materials, and environmental swabs.
  • Perform routine raw material sampling of ingredients to ensure compliance to approved ingredient specifications.
  • Assist in the preparation of daily sensory samples and participate in the daily sensory panel.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a product development position, restaurant, or food science field.
Working Conditions:

This role has daily exposure to a food processing environment, which includes dampness and cold. You may require varying start times and extended working hours with occasional weekends.
