Job Summary:

King Masonry Ltd. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions using computer equipment and GPS devices.
  • Drive lighter and special purpose trucks, loading and unloading goods as required.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in good working order.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.

Requirements:

  • DZ class license.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
