Overview

KPMG Canada is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team. As a key member of our tax practice, you will work closely with our Partners to deliver exceptional tax planning and compliance services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead client engagements and develop tax planning strategies for our clients.
  • Collaborate with our Partners to deliver high-quality tax services and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Manage and direct the work of junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct tax research and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize client savings.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentoring to junior staff, helping them to develop their skills and advance their careers.
  • Work closely with our marketing team to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to attract new clients.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in tax, preferably in a public accounting firm.
  • Professional accounting designation or equivalent.
  • Completed, or nearly completed, the CPA In-Depth Tax Course.
  • Excellent people management skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
