Infrastructure Services Manager

The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of technical specialists in the Infrasctructure Services unit within Douglas College. The role is responsible for operational oversight, developing, implementing, administering and maintaining the technical infrastructure for educational and information technology.

Main Responsibilities:
">
Lead, inspire and coach the team to achieve technical and professional excellence.
BUILD AND NURTURE A CULTURE OF LIFELONG LEARNING, INCLUSIVITY AND TEAMWORK.
Recruit, train, evaluate and discipline unionized staff as necessary.
Model values and behaviors consistent with the spirit of service to others.
Develop, monitor and implement architectural designs for telecommunications, computing and networking technology.
Plan, design and manage the implementation, operation, maintenance and ongoing technical support of network services, application hosting and data storage services, IT disaster planning and business continuity, enterprise architecture software and services.
Education, Experience and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computing Science or related field from accredited post-secondary institution.
A minimum of three years progressive responsibility and demonstrated success in developing, implementing, administering and maintaining an IT infrastructure.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with telephony technologies and services.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in systems analysis and design, project management, systems development, capacity planning and disaster recovery planning.
Supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
Ability to supervise and lead including mentoring and developing staff.
Ability to acquire, maintain and apply current educational and information technologies.
Professional, ethical and collaborative behaviors consistent with position responsibilities.
Organizational, analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills resolving diverse and complex problems.
