Job Description
What Is The Opportunity?
As a Technology Transformation Specialist at Royal Bank of Canada, you will collaborate with all stakeholders involved in the software development life cycle (SDLC) to identify opportunities for improvement and streamline software delivery processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience implementing Agile practices across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Development teams, Testing groups, Production support, and Product owners to optimize software delivery and achieve a 25% increase in operational efficiency.
- Develop and execute a roadmap for achieving a 25% boost in team output while maintaining existing costs.
- Accelerate turnaround time for software delivery by 50% to meet evolving business needs and market demands, while ensuring the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Reduce the number of defects by 30% by improving unit test code coverage and unit test effectiveness.
- Drive the development and implementation of best practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance software development processes.
- Partner with Dev and QE leads of each squad to enable yearly roadmap for technology transformation.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts, monitor ongoing results, define process areas for review, and conduct benchmarking activities to ensure best-in-class results.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and success, providing regular updates and reports to senior leadership on the status of engineering transformation initiatives.
Requirements
- University degree in computer engineering or related fields OR equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in Software engineering as Scrum Master or Business Analyst.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for digital transformation.
- Basic proficiency in VBA or Python.
