We are seeking a skilled Controls Development Engineer / Specialist to join our team and contribute to the development of our innovative ventilation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement PLC/DDC software for ERV and DOAS systems.
  • Collaborate with production and customer teams to ensure seamless integration and technical support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues.
  • Develop training materials and provide training to representatives and technicians.
  • Develop and test control algorithms for use in the Oxygen8 DDC controller.
  • Assist in the development of HMI code and testing.
  • Maintain expertise in Building Automation Systems and Intelligent Operation of HVAC Equipment.
  • Liaise between customers and sales, production, and applications teams.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Diploma in Electrical/Computer Engineering/HVAC Technology.
  • 3+ years' experience working with control systems.
  • Experience with PLC and HMI operation and programming, testing, and building automation.
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuits and components.
  • Able to read electrical diagrams and troubleshoot control panels.
  • Knowledge of ECM motors, sensors, and communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, Ethernet).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
