Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Programmer to join our team on Dead By Daylight. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems of our game.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new server features and maintain existing codebase
  • Write specifications for new features and ensure they meet gaming server compliance standards
  • Diagnose and resolve issues to improve code robustness and performance
  • Collaborate with other programmers to provide gaming server-compliant services
  • Develop and perform functional and load testing to ensure high-quality code
  • Optimize code for live and online game performance
Requirements
  • At least 15 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience developing high-speed server applications using JavaScript
  • Knowledge of REST and WebSocket communication protocols
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, MySQL, etc.)
  • Extensive experience with data modeling, focusing on performance and maintenance
  • Experience with load testing using distributed load generators
  • Bonus points for experience in Linux environments, web application development with React and/or Angular, and server/client development with security and network traffic management
