At Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre, we're seeking a dynamic and experienced Banquet Manager to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring seamless event execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, and lead a high-performing team of banquet staff to provide exceptional service and support.
  • Develop and implement effective scheduling strategies to optimize labor costs and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build strong relationships with clients and vendors, ensuring seamless event execution.
  • Manage event setups, breakdowns, and logistics to ensure timely and efficient execution.
  • Address guest complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner, taking corrective action to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare and submit reports, authorizations, and invoices for events, as well as manage gratuities and labor reports for staff.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the quality and efficiency of our banquet services.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Tourism and Hospitality or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a banquet supervisor or banquet manager role.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
