Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Humber River Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.
Job Summary:We are looking for a Registered Nurse with acute care experience to work in our Emergency Department. The successful candidate will have excellent physical assessment skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Conduct thorough physical assessments and document findings
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
- Minimum 3-6 months medical/surgical experience required; 6-8 weeks training provided
- Current Emergency experience preferred; ICU experience is an asset
- BCLS certification upon hire to show proof of valid current certification
- Coronary Care I & II certificates or the equivalent is preferred or completed within 1 year of your start date
- ACLS course upon hire or completed within six months of your start date required. Course available through Humber River Health
- TNCC, PALS or ENPC courses upon hire or completed within 1 year of your start date required.
