Job Title: Registered Nurse, Emergency Department
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including physical and emotional needs
- Develop and implement education plans for patients and families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements:
- Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
- Minimum 3-6 months medical/surgical experience required; 6-8 weeks training provided
- Current Emergency experience preferred; ICU experience is an asset
- BCLS certification upon hire to show proof of valid current certification
- Coronary Care I & II certificates or the equivalent is preferred or completed within 1 year of your start date
- ACLS course upon hire or completed within six months of your start date required. Course available through Humber River Health
- TNCC, PALS or ENPC courses upon hire or completed within 1 year of your start date required.
