About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Foodland. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff

Lead and direct the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and support as needed.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.

Inventory Management

Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring accurate ordering and minimizing waste.

Quality Control

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Record Keeping and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, preparing and submitting reports as required.

Food Order Summaries

Prepare and submit food order summaries for the chef, ensuring timely and accurate communication.

Work Schedules

Establish and manage work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels and minimizing overtime.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.

Language

English.

Work Hours

30 to 40 hours per week.
