Retail Store Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at KRS HOLDINGS ENGLEHART INC. O/A ESSO. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they have the necessary training and support to excel in their roles.
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to meet our high standards.
  • Authorize the return of merchandise and ensure that all returns are processed efficiently and effectively.
  • Establish work schedules to ensure that the store is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Sell merchandise and promote our products to customers to drive sales growth.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that stock levels are optimal and that products are easily accessible to customers.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, staff, and management.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
Working Conditions:

The Retail Store Supervisor will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing circumstances.

  • Initiative and a strong ability to take ownership of tasks and projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Experience:

The ideal candidate will have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory role. The candidate will have a strong understanding of retail operations and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The Retail Store Supervisor will work 40 hours per week, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
