Retail Store Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at KRS HOLDINGS ENGLEHART INC. O/A ESSO. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they have the necessary training and support to excel in their roles.
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to meet our high standards.
  • Authorize the return of merchandise and ensure that all returns are processed efficiently and effectively.
  • Establish work schedules to ensure that the store is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Sell merchandise and promote our products to customers to drive sales growth.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that stock levels are optimal and that products are easily accessible to customers.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a retail environment, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, staff, and management.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
Working Conditions:

The Retail Store Supervisor will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing circumstances.

  • Accurate and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, staff, and management.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the success of the store.
Experience:

The ideal candidate will have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail environment, with a proven track record of success. The candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, staff, and management.

The Retail Store Supervisor will work 40 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and able to communicate effectively with customers and staff.
