Job Description

We are seeking compassionate professionals to join our team as caregivers. As a caregiver at TheKey, you will play a vital role in implementing personalized care plans that cater to the holistic needs of our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include managing activities of daily living (ADLs) and maintaining client autonomy.

Responsibilities
  • Personal hygiene such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Cooking and nutritional guidance
  • Transportation services
  • Light housekeeping services and laundry
  • Medication reminders
  • Exercise and physical assistance
  • Conversation, companionship, and mental stimulation
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • A Caregiver or Nursing certificate from an accredited college
  • At least 2-3 years of experience caring for the elderly, preferably with experience dealing with clients with dementia
  • A good command of English and the ability to converse with ease on a wide variety of topics
  • No history of criminal background
  • Passionate about providing care for elders
  • Compassionate, honest, reliable, confident, and highly sociable
  • Ability to cook
  • Proof of eligibility to work in Canada (Canadian citizenship or open work permit)
