Clinical Setting and Duties

Hawkesbury General Hospital is seeking a part-time Ophthalmologist to join its dynamic ambulatory care and surgical teams. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art, newly constructed ambulatory care building with a team of experienced professionals.

The Ophthalmologist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing surgeries, and participating in the development of clinical programs. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be fluent in both French and English, and have a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing comprehensive eye care services to patients
  • Performing surgeries and procedures
  • Participating in clinical programs and quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, the successful candidate must have:

  • Certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent qualification
  • Independent practice license from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
