Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at Empire Logistics & Transport Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our transportation department, ensuring that all shipments are delivered on time and in good condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Oversee the budgeting and financial planning for transportation operations, ensuring that costs are minimized and revenue is maximized.
  • Shipping and Logistics: Coordinate with carriers and suppliers to arrange for shipping documentation and track the movement of goods in transit.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all transportation operations are in compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
  • Service Rate Management: Set and monitor transportation service rates to ensure that they are competitive and aligned with market conditions.
  • Cargo Management: Record and track cargo information, including hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Operational Planning: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily transportation operations to ensure that they are running smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week
  • Language: English
