Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Discovery Early Learning & Care. As an integral part of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children in our care.

Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their needs.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that support the well-being of children.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children by following licensing regulations.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Immunization records and a Vulnerable Sector Check are required.
  • Own transportation or access to public transportation.
