We are seeking a skilled Delivery Truck Driver to join our team at Grant Home Hardware Building Centres. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by being professional, courteous, and responsive to customer needs.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Logistics: Load and unload goods, record trip information, and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance.
- Transportation: Operate a delivery truck to transport goods to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues encountered.
- Certifications: Hold a valid Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles), Driver's License (Class 3 or D), and Driver's Licence (Class 2 or B or C).
- Experience: Previous experience in a transportation or logistics role is an asset.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
