Asphalt Laboratory Specialist

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Laboratory Technician to join our team at Englobe. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting asphalt laboratory testing to match current NBDTI requirements, including the Marshall Method and Superpave Method, in both a central lab and mobile lab environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct asphalt laboratory testing to match current NBDTI requirements.
- Familiarize yourself with current NBDTI End Result Specification (ERS) Asphalt specifications and asphalt mix properties to propose mix changes or adjustments as needed.
- Receive and properly record all field samples for testing and/or holding.
- Enter data using basic software.
- Communicate results effectively with clients and Englobe supervisors.
- Maintain proper records of field test results for review and subsequent submissions.
- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.
Requirements
- Technical degree or diploma in civil engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar engineering field.
- CCIL certification considered an asset.
- Team-oriented and excellent communication skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel throughout the Maritimes on a required basis.
