About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at More Than Just Words Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to help clients achieve their communication goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing treatment plans and lead therapy sessions that align with established objectives.
  • Understand treatment goals and follow them diligently until modifications are made by the supervising SLP.
  • Evaluate the need for and/or develop intervention materials to support the supervising SLP's efforts.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of therapy sessions by documenting progress notes that reflect client performance, behaviors, and other relevant details.
  • Improve the experience for clients and stakeholders through teamwork and by building professional relationships, while maintaining the integrity of your role.
  • Collect, document, and safeguard patient response data, ensuring the confidentiality of all personal health information shared during sessions.
Requirements
  • A secondary education in linguistics or language development.
  • A Post Graduate Certificate in Communicative Disorders is a plus.
  • Experience working with preschool and school-aged children.
