Job Title: Construction Labourer

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at Birch Hill Construction Ltd. As a Construction Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the construction process, including loading, unloading, and transporting materials
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Help medical examiners in charge and assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Pave and rake asphalt
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in construction
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme weather conditions
  • Reliability and dependability
  • Team player with a hardworking attitude
