Job Title: Construction Labourer

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at Birch Hill Construction Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, including loading and unloading materials, erecting scaffolding, and mixing and pouring concrete.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading and unloading construction materials
  • Erecting and dismantling scaffolding, ramps, and barricades
  • Mixing and pouring concrete and asphalt
  • Assisting in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assisting in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Assisting in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Leveling earth to fine grade specifications
  • Paving and raking asphalt
  • Assisting in demolishing buildings
  • Cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction
  • Directing traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work outdoors, at heights, underground, and in confined spaces
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Dependability, reliability, and teamwork skills
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a variety of construction environments, including outdoors, at heights, underground, and in confined spaces.
