Job Description:

As an Estimator and Project Manager at Soconex Inc., you will be responsible for directing, planning, and controlling the activities of assigned projects to deliver them to clients according to contractual requirements and deadlines. You will ensure contracts are executed in accordance with tendered terms. In collaboration with the group leader, you will be accountable for the success and profitability of each project under your responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimation Component: Performs weekly checks in the SEAO virtual plan room to identify projects available and of interest to the organization. Analyzes these projects to decide whether to submit a bid. Analyzes client requests, verifies project feasibility, and submits bids with estimated costs.
  • Project Management Component: Ensures project inclusion in the production schedule. Submits technical sheets and documents for approval. Prepares and places purchase orders, releases orders to suppliers, and follows up on order status. Checks and approves supplier invoices, establishes project planning and scheduling, and communicates site assignments to group leaders.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management in Soconex Inc.'s field of activity.
  • Excellent knowledge of the company's sector of activity, processes, and estimation and project management.
  • Ability to imagine project structures to transpose them into estimates.
  • Very good knowledge of laws, standards, and regulations in the sector.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, and strong aptitude for teamwork.


Performance Measures:

The incumbent will be evaluated on customer follow-ups, ability to finalize sales, existence of tools and project management methodology, and the level of performance of staff under their authority. The incumbent will also be evaluated on the profitability of projects, ability to respond accurately and quickly to questions, and ability to find effective and optimal solutions to problems.
