About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 1.0 continuing FTE contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching technology education courses to students, and will possess the necessary qualifications, training, and experience to excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach technology education courses to students, including woodworking, automotive, power technology, metal, and drafting and design
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in technology education

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Education degree
  • Training and certification in technology education
  • Preference given to candidates eligible for certification with the British Columbia Teacher Regulation Branch
