Strategic Inventory Optimization Specialist

Welcome to RONA Inc., a leader in the Canadian retail hardware and construction materials industry. We are seeking an experienced Strategic Inventory Optimization Specialist to join our Store Support Center team.

This role is responsible for analyzing and optimizing inventory management processes, as well as assessing operational activities within our distribution centers. The successful candidate will apply principles of total quality and lean manufacturing to achieve operational excellence, improve the Perfect Order Index, and maximize customer satisfaction throughout our network.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing data related to stock levels, product movements, and demand to assess storage capacity needs
  • Collaborating with the Operations team to efficiently maximize building capacity by providing incoming and outgoing forecasts, as well as analyzing stock levels and/or external storage needs
  • Tracking and analyzing the Perfect Order Index (POI) to measure order performance (on-time delivery, order accuracy, completeness, etc.)
  • Proposing actions to improve the POI and thus enhance customer satisfaction

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes insurance, annual salary review, and opportunities for advancement within the company.

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a supply chain analyst role
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Programming skills and the use of optimization algorithms (languages such as Python, R, SQL)
  • Lean Black Belt certification or equivalent
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications, including Excel and Access
