About the Role

The Ottawa Humane Society is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Customer Service Representative: Intake to join our team. As a key member of our intake team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to the public, ensuring that animals in need receive the care they require.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to the public, responding to inquiries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Assess and prioritize animal intake, ensuring that animals receive the necessary care and attention.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote the Ottawa Humane Society's mission and services.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a non-profit or animal welfare organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on finding solutions that benefit all parties.
