About Overbond

Overbond is a leading developer of artificial intelligence-driven real-time data streams for bond trading automation, revolutionizing the way global investment banks, institutional investors, corporations, and governments access the capital markets.

We are seeking an experienced Data Science Leader to join our team and help drive innovation in bond trading. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of building and demonstrating business value from predictive models and data products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data mining, machine learning, and statistical modeling, with experience in building statistical and algorithmic models with complex and large data sets.

The role involves working closely with the engineering team to deploy models and algorithms in production, as well as collaborating with key stakeholders and senior management to effectively communicate data insights.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or PhD in relevant disciplines (Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or other quantitative related discipline)
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in data mining, machine learning, and statistical modeling
  • Solid knowledge in regression, time series analysis, tree methods, neural network, sampling
  • Proven track record of building and demonstrating business value from predictive models and data products
  • Highly proficient in building statistical and algorithmic models with complex and large data sets such as supervised statistical learning, times-series analysis, regression analysis, data visualization, and deep learning
  • Coding experience in SQL or Python or R
  • Experience with GCP cloud architecture, functions logic, and development: Big Query, PubSub, Dataflow, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Time series data, and streaming APIs
  • Familiarity with Overbond product suite: Bond Trading Automation, Liquidity Scoring, Bond real-time pricing, Fixed Income ETF basket pricing, Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA), Margin Optimization, and Issuance Propensity models
