Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Advantage Child Care Academy Inc. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting the growth and development of young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing engaging programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Support co-workers in maintaining a clean and safe environment, including housekeeping and cooking duties.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafting.
  • Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP education.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and reliability.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

  • Repetitive tasks.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
