Burlington Charcoal Pit Cook Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Burlington Charcoal Pit. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and safe food preparation
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
Work Environment:

The Cook will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a team of experienced staff. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
