About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Generative AI Engineer to join our team at Hearst Health Network. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions that leverage large language models in the healthcare technology domain.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop AI Applications: Design and implement AI applications that enhance content production and improve operational efficiency in the healthcare technology domain.
  2. Collaborate with Clinical Editors: Work closely with clinical editors to develop AI solutions that support content creation and improve accuracy.
  3. Prototype and Develop: Rapidly prototype and develop generative AI applications, from proof-of-concept to front-end UI.
  4. Evaluate and Improve: Continuously evaluate and improve the performance of AI applications, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.
  5. Stay Up-to-Date: Stay current with industry developments and advancements in AI and healthcare technology.
Requirements
  1. Software Engineering Experience: 3-5+ years of full-time software engineering experience.
  2. Python Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Python programming language.
  3. Front-end Web Technologies: Experience with modern front-end web technologies, such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  4. Cloud Computing: Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud computing platforms.
  5. Software Engineering Best Practices: Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, including Agile development methodologies.
  6. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Generative AI Experience: Experience building generative AI solutions with OpenAI (e.g., GPT-4 API).
  3. Health Technology Domain: Experience working in the healthcare technology domain, with a strong understanding of healthcare industry challenges and opportunities.
