Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Director to lead our Web & Ecommerce Team at Vention Inc. As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee the development and delivery of our ecommerce platform, driving technical vision and strategy to achieve business goals.

  • You will direct a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster professional growth and high-performance.
  • The successful candidate will drive technical vision, architecture, and design of our ecommerce solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • You will set clear goals and objectives for the team, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience as an engineering leader and managing software engineering teams.
  • Solid understanding of agile software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing engineering teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with modern software development tools, version control systems, and project management platforms.
