Job Summary

Narula Construction Ltd is seeking a skilled Construction Assistant to join our team.

  • Load, unload and transport construction materials to the designated site locations.
  • Clean and lubricate cranes and other heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to specified dimensions.
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction to ensure safe and efficient installation.
  • Operate locomotive cranes to move objects and materials at railway yards under the supervision of experienced operators.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, following established safety protocols.
  • Participate in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, working closely with experienced builders.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications using precision tools and equipment.
  • Pave and rake asphalt to create smooth surfaces for vehicular traffic.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings, carefully removing hazardous materials and debris.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse or recycling.
  • Respond to chemical spills and other contaminants on site, following established procedures.
  • Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Operate and maintain machines or equipment used in construction, adhering to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring the safe flow of vehicles and pedestrians.Requirements
    • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
    • At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
    • Excellent physical stamina, as the role requires working in a fast-paced construction environment.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
    • A strong focus on safety, with a commitment to following established protocols and procedures.
