We are seeking a skilled Welder - Maintenance Technician to join our team at McAsphalt. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for fabricating new equipment and modifying existing structures to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate structural components and repair existing structures
- Modify product and steam piping to ensure efficient operation
- Operate and maintain welding tools and equipment
- Accurately measure, cut, and prepare materials for projects
- Assist with planning maintenance and projects
- Maintain and repair maintenance shop equipment
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve production, cost savings, and safety
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Welder
- Formal welding training and/or certification
- Minimum GED or high school diploma
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clear abstract
- Familiarity with various welding procedures, equipment, and techniques
- Working knowledge of material specification standards and technical documents
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
- Knowledge of safety regulations and safe welding practices
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance skills
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
