Job Summary:

Otter Co-op is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance support to our liquor stores, gas bars, and food stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance technician support to all Otter Co-op locations
  • Conduct site assessments and repairs, or delegate to authorized contractors
  • Perform small repairs and maintenance, including preventative maintenance
  • Receive and respond to maintenance requests from sites
  • Support sites in logging and updating maintenance requests through our online system
  • Provide safety orientations and prepare contractors for maintenance work
  • Prioritize tasks based on operational needs and requirements
  • Work with Safety & Asset Protection to investigate incidents and accidents
  • Manage annual contractor maintenance, including HVAC and suppression systems
  • Contribute to the team's commitment to our Core Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence

Requirements:

  • 2 years of general maintenance experience
  • High-level commitment to a safe working environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid Class 5 DL with a clean driving record
  • Exemplary customer service skills, aligned with brand standards and core values
  • Proven track record as a self-starter, dedicated, and reliable
  • Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs
