Manufacturing Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team at Manitoba Ltd. o/s ClearSecure.

About the Role

This is a permanent, 40 hours/week position that requires 1-2 years of experience and secondary education. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a physically demanding environment with attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities:

• Record information on products inspected for quality and conformity to specifications.
• Clean the work area and maintain a safe working environment.
• Identify and mark defects for repair.
• Inspect manufactured items for conformance to specifications and quality standards.
• Complete reports on product inspection.
• Operate machinery to fabricate parts and assemble components.
• Screw, clip, glue, bond, weld or otherwise assemble parts and components to form final products.
• Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions.
• Operate machines or equipment or use hand tools to cut, shape, splice and fit plastic materials to form parts and assemblies.
• Inspect manufactured plastic products for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards.
• Fabricate and assemble composite materials on patterns to form parts and assemblies.
• Read and interpret work orders.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.

Work Environment:

• The successful candidate will be working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to fibreglass, metal, and glass.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have their own transportation.
• This is a physically demanding role requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• Necessary personal protective equipment includes steel-toed safety boots.

Compensation Package:

The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
