Job Summary

The Business Analyst will play a critical role in driving business success through data analysis and process improvement. This individual will work closely with leaders in the Business and IT areas to identify and document business flows, ideas, issues, gaps, and opportunities, and translate them into requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business process owners to understand existing processes, identify gaps, and continuously improve processes.
  • Develop and refine business requirements aligned to organizational strategy, working with relevant stakeholders and partners.
  • Provide the interface between the technical resource pool and business partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and provide recommendations for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, responsibilities, and timelines.
  • Conduct user acceptance tests, with clear documentation and iterations, to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Perform system testing and validation to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Provide support during the implementation and post-implementation phases, identifying opportunities for process improvement and recommending solutions.

Requirements

  • A degree in Business Administration or related degree (or equivalent experience) as a Business Analyst, preferably in transportation.
  • Cross-functional facilitation experience with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Business Process Development experience combined with the demonstrated ability to work one-on-one or in groups with end-users to elicit business requirements in a relationship-based manner.
  • Ability to effectively illustrate design, development, and testing processes to business partners using non-technical jargon, as well as IT partners for technical delivery.
  • Proficient in strategic planning.
  • Strong situational awareness, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills (written, listening, and verbal) with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to synthesize large information and data into business requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with a variety of people and cultures, within Q-Line business units as well as external customers, partners, and suppliers.
