Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Little Footprints Daycare Inc. As an Early Childhood Educator - Program Developer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

You will lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest. You will also encourage creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity. Additionally, you will guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.

An essential part of your role will be observing children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors. You will also discuss progress and problems with colleagues at staff meetings.

To succeed in this position, you must establish and maintain collaborative relationships with coworkers and community service providers working with children.

Requirements

In order to be considered for this position, you must have:

  • An Other trades certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience as an Early Childhood Educator
  • The ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
