Overview

McDonald's is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the execution of reinvestment projects in Eastern Canada. This role requires a strong background in construction project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

About the Role

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract position based in Eastern Canada (Ontario or Atlantic). As a Construction Project Manager, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of reinvestment projects, including standard interior projects, expansions, conditions of rewrite, and condition of sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and promote positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including franchisees, corporate staff, general contractors, architects, vendors, and municipal authorities.
  • Monitor and control the reinvestment project management process by coordinating the efforts of others, including O/O, McOpCo, Contractors, and external Consultants.
  • Ensure quality control standards for Reinvestment, including cost, time, conformity with specifications and standards.
  • Manage and track project budgets, schedules, construction, and project close out.
  • Develop scopes, estimates, tenders, and awarding contracts.
  • Create purchase orders and CCOs.
  • Manage change orders, deficiencies, and project close out.
  • Provide regular project reports and updates to management.
  • Conduct site visits for projects within Canada.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in construction project management, preferably in the Quick-Service-Restaurant (QSR) industry.
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills to effectively build partnerships with management, staff, and external partners.
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills to make critical decisions and drive project success.
  • Advanced skills in Smartsheet, Excel, and SharePoint/OneDrive.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and travel within Canada up to 30% of the year.

Compensation Package

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $85,000 and $110,000 CAD, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, McDonald's offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as retirement savings plans.
