Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist

As a key member of the inter-professional team at Hanna Health Centre, the Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist will perform procedures in both laboratory and diagnostic imaging settings. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect and analyze biological specimens, conduct X-ray examinations, and report results.
- Prepare patients, perform venipuncture and micropuncture, and maintain routine equipment.
- Ensure quality control procedures are followed and supplies are maintained.
- Work effectively in emergency situations, prioritizing workload and demonstrating tact and courtesy.
- Completion of a diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology.
- Active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists.
- Recent experience in a core laboratory and general diagnostic imaging setting, including hospital-affiliated training programs.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English and provide excellent customer service.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with Clinitek Status, Vitros XT3400, Sysmex XN500, ACL Elite Pro, Triage, iStat, and Muse and Cardioday.
- Recent experience with Epic Beaker, Wellsky, and Unity Real-time.
