Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist to join our team at Hanna Health Centre. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will be responsible for performing procedures in both the laboratory and diagnostic imaging departments, working closely with patients, staff, and physicians to provide excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect and analyze biological specimens, conduct X-ray examinations, ECGs, and report results.
- Prepare patients, perform venipuncture and micropuncture, maintain routine equipment, and ensure quality control procedures are in place.
- Work effectively in a team environment, promoting good teamwork and communication skills.
- Practice effective radiation protection, infection control, and safety techniques as applicable.
- Be proficient in computer skills and able to interpret, explain, and apply applicable legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Completion of a diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT).
- Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
- Recent, relevant experience as a Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologist, performing procedures in a core laboratory and general diagnostic imaging.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English and provide excellent customer service.
- Good organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with Clinitek Status, Vitros XT3400, Sysmex XN500, ACL Elite Pro, Triage, iStat, and Muse and Cardioday.
- Recent experience with Epic Beaker, Wellsky, and Unity Real-time.
- Current registration with AACLXT.
