Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide therapy services to individuals with complex mental health illnesses and medical conditions, enabling clients to achieve optimal health outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychosocial rehabilitation, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients with complex mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with clients, caregivers, and healthcare providers to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Conduct assessments and develop interventions to address emotional, social, and environmental barriers.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on mental health issues and coping strategies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
  • Masters of Social Work degree (M.Bachelor's Degree in Social Work with relevant work experience will also be considered).
  • Current full registration with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers (NBASW).
  • Recent, related experience working in a psychiatric or counselling setting with individuals who have complex mental health issues or equivalent.
