L3Harris Technologies, a leading aerospace and defense technology innovator, is seeking an experienced Airworthiness Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for directing and managing a group of unionized employees dedicated to operations.

Job Summary

The Airworthiness Manager will coordinate efforts with the Operations Manager to ensure that teams work in accordance with Transport Canada and DTAES aviation procedures, policies, and regulations. This includes managing fatigue risk of personnel on a daily basis and working closely with an active and highly professional QA program.

About the Role

As an Airworthiness Manager, you will:

  • Represent operations at various meetings to establish and maintain professional relations with program teams and clients;
  • Manage emergencies and develop contingencies to minimize operational impacts;
  • Collaborate with Licensed Planners, QA, Engineering, PRAA, Programs Manager, and Operations Manager to ensure Airworthiness, Training, Currency, Projects, Customer Satisfaction, and Key Performance Indicators are met or exceeded;
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out monthly inspections and following up on corrective actions;
  • Preparing and participating in OHS committee meetings and following up on actions;
  • Completing accident/incident reports;
  • Assisting L3 Harris auditors during their visits and following up on actions;
  • Responding and documenting corrective action requests (CARs);
  • Creating and updating departmental procedures and ensuring employees follow them;
  • Participating and encouraging employees to propose continuous improvement initiatives;
  • FOLLOWING UP ON IMPROVEMENT MEASURES;
  • PROMOTING THE RISE PROGRAM.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license in Mechanic, Structure, or Electricity;
  • College or undergraduate degree in a relevant field of competence, such as engineering, AME, mechanics, or aeronautics;
  • Minimum 4 years experience in operations management;
  • Experience in team supervision (unionized employees an asset);
  • Ability to make quick decisions and take action;
  • Customer-oriented and results-oriented while adopting a “win-win” approach;
  • Ability to inspire employees and collaborators in a positive manner;
  • Good oral and written communication skills in both English and French;
  • Sense of work organization and priority management;
  • Knowledge of labor relations;
  • Knowledge of laws and policies related to the environment, health, and safety at work.

L3Harris offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
