Drywall Installation and Finishing Expert

At Survtech Constructions, we are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation and Finishing Expert to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various locations, ensuring a high-quality finish and meeting our company's standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install drywall sheets, measuring, cutting, and fitting them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required.
  • Supervise other workers and instruct apprentices in drywall installation and finishing techniques.
  • Estimate costs and materials, and operate CADD and other computer software systems.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty and noisy environments, and outdoors.
  • Physically demanding work, requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
