We are seeking a skilled Butcher - Retail or Wholesale Specialist to join our team at Davisol Global Foods. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of meat products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Preparing Meat
    • Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to prepare for processing or cutting
    • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
    • Wrap and package prepared meats
  • Meat Handling and Display
    • Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
    • Remove bones from meat
    • Weigh meats for sale
  • Customer Service
    • Sell meats to customers
    • Price meat products
  • Equipment and Machinery Operation
    • Operate band saw and manual cutting utensils
  • Team Collaboration
    • Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers
    • Train meat cutters
  • Special Orders and Displays
    • Prepare special orders
    • Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
Work Environment

This role is based in a supermarket and meat department environment.
