Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at RhynoCare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our patients in a variety of long-term and acute care facilities in the Kincardine area.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care, within the scope of practice of a Nurse Practitioner.
• Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
• Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered.
• Ensure resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe.
• Ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.

**Requirements:**

• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
• BLS Certificate.
• Valid First Aid & CPR.
• Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), and negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
• Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible shift times, including eight or twelve hours in length.
• Ability to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need.
• Reliability in accepting and adhering to shift assignments.
• Compliance with RhynoCare's shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
